Welcome to San Francisco Dudley Stephens

The Land’s End Trail on the northwest coast of San Francisco is the ultimate urban hike and epitomizes San Francisco’s indoor-outdoor lifestyle. A thin path runs along the cliffs between Sutro Baths and the Golden Gate Bridge with beautiful views of both the city homes packed along the ridges as well as the wild, sparkling ocean below. Lucky locals take their daily exercise along the park’s stairs and earthen pathways sharing the road with tourists happily snapping photos. We hadn’t hiked the trail since moving back to the city, so on Sunday David and I drove out to the coast in time for sunset.

We’ve seen the Golden Gate Bridge from all angles, but I love the view from Golden Gate Outlook best. You can either park right next to it, or start the hike at Sutro Baths and enjoy a 1 hour cliff walk to the outlook. If you luck out with a spectacular, sunny day you’ll enjoy views like this. It almost looks like I’m standing in front of a painting, the landscape is so dreamy.

I brought my new turtleneck from Dudley Stephens along for the hike, and promptly popped it on as the wind picked up. I had heard of the Brooklyn-based brand from several of my east coast friends, so when they announced Dudley Stephens is having a pop-up shop at Batch SF for the next two months, I was eager to try their stylish fleeces out. For our hike I wore their signature Park Slope Turtleneck which comes in a beautiful array of colors. The cowl neck and texture of the fabric are both so elegant, it’s hard to believe this turtleneck is fleece! I love how their website styles each piece a number of ways, showing how a turtleneck can take you from the gym to holiday parties and everything in between!
