In the quiet days between Christmas and New Years David and I took the train down to Princeton, NJ for a friend’s wedding. It was held in the quaint Nassau Inn in downtown Princeton and aside from a beautiful evening celebrating the bride and groom, I loved wandering Princeton’s campus which looked lovely in the bright winter sun.
Instead of a grand list of goals for my first post of the new decade I wanted to share this short outfit post, in the hopes that I share the little moments more frequently on here in the next year and beyond. I wore a variation of this outfit several times over the holiday break between California and New York and love that it incorporates so many of my wardrobe staples such as this oxford shirt, these comfy-as-anything block heels, and this popover-style cashmere blazer topped off with this plaid car coat. I love that the body and sleeve of the coat are one piece (there’s no seam at the shoulder connecting the sleeve) which puts the plaid pattern on the diagonal for the sleeves. The pastel color palette means I’ll be reaching for this cozy and casual piece throughout the winter and into early spring.
Just a great little outfit for running errands, being a tourist in a new town, and everything in between!
