Crillon-le-Brave is a small village perched on a hill overlooking some of the most beautiful vineyards and mountains in all of France – including the stunning Mont Ventoux of Tour de France fame. The village was largely abandoned until the mid 1980s, when its historic country house and old buildings were brought back to life. The eponymous hotel that now is the heart of the village is a destination that we’ve returned to several times when visiting Provence — you just can’t beat the views, and there are few places more relaxing or stunning than their pool, perched on top of the hill looking out on the vineyards.

Take a trip to Gordes, or walk down the hill to neighboring town Bedoin. “We took a few trips to surrounding towns, including Gordes and Bedoin.”
