ST-PAUL-DE-VENCE

Travel Guide

Saint-Paul-de-Vence is a small medieval town on a hill overlooking the Provence and Côte d’Azur region. It’s tightly packed narrow streets, alleyways, and centuries-old buildings are drivers of its charm. I’ve visited Saint-Paul-de-Vence a few times and enjoyed the view from afar of the town looking out over Provence and the French Riviera. It’s very difficult to drive in the town because the roads are so narrow, so it’s best to park outside and walk in. When we visited overnight, we stayed in one of the medieval buildings that had been converted into a vacation rental and we were able to take our car in with us. But it just barely fit around the corners with the side-view mirrors turned in, and we had the smallest car possible from our rental company! There are many restaurants that I’d love to try next time I go back, but for now, we had great experiences at Les Remparts, which you can read more about in the post linked below.
