January Travel Plans

David has outdone me on the gift-giving front yet again. I gave him a pair of shoes and he gave me a trip to Norway for Christmas this year. Ha.

We’re heading to Oslo at the end of the month for a 4 day cross-country ski trip and I couldn’t be more excited! We first visited Norway during our world trip and discovered there’s a network of beautiful mountain lodges just outside the city that you can only reach on skis. We spent one day skiing from lodge to lodge in December 2017 and it was so magical we vowed to return to make a whole trip of it. Each lodge has a cozy restaurant and many have rooms where tired skiers can spend the night. It will be unlike any other trip I’ve ever taken since you carry everything you need on your back, but I’m ready for the adventure!

If you’re a cross country skier and have specific exercises you do to get ready for a ski trip please let me know! xx, SF

If you’re not already skiing regularly you’re going to die.

This sounds amazing!! I’d recommend squats and heel raises to help get ready. Can’t wait to see pictures and hear about your trip X
