David and I took a Sunday drive to Kennebunkport last weekend just in time to catch a bit of their paired down Christmas prelude. A we rolled into the main street of this candy-colored town I pinched myself that we are only a short drive from many of my favorite places. We popped in to our friends’ charming shop Seacraft Vintage, strolled through the center of town to take in this year’s tree, then continued on to Cape Porpoise for a causal lunch at The Ramp which is always a good time. (That lobster roll! I can smell it just looking at the photo below!) Snug Harbor Farm is always a favorite for beautiful gifts and greenery (I snapped up the most amazing garland!) and we made sure to pass by Nubble Lighthouse which is beautifully lit for the holidays on our drive home.
New England is expecting a lot of snow tomorrow, so if you’re making the trip soon it will likely be even more magical under a blanket of white! xx

Thank you so much for your New England Xmas pics. I miss enjoying this special time of year, as I am in Florida. Yes I know I’m lucky to be in warm temps but it just doesn’t seem as festive if there aren’t cool temps and all the lovely homes decorated for the holidays. Next year I plan to wait until after Xmas to arrive in Florida.

Hi Amy! I understand the feeling – we spend Christmas in CA with my family and warm weather and palm trees don’t feel quite as festive as snow and evergreens. But warm weather Christmases are lovely in their own way! xx Stacie
