A Morning at Moulton Farm
Since moving to New Hampshire we've loved getting more of our food from local farms, and during harvest it's especially fun to peruse the farm stands bursting with delicious treasures. Few farm stands make harvest as enticing as Moulton Farm, on the northern shore of Lake Winnipesaukee. Come fall the sprawling property is buried in mounds of pumpkins and gorgeous displays of mums. We stopped by on our way home from a trip to the White Mountains earlier this month, and the farm was dressed to the nines to celebrate the harvest. If you stop by as well, I recommend going on the earlier side for their delicious cider belly doughnuts (which are prone to selling out), taking a wander through the corn maze, saying hello to the kid goats, and perhaps grabbing a few goodies to take home. (Aside from fresh produce they make their own delicious jams, marinated meats and prepared foods.)
My Alice Walk cape was the perfect fit for the beautiful autumn day. Founded south of Boston, Alice Walk is a New England brand through and through. From their incredible cashmere sweaters, cozy wraps and tailored capes the collection is understated, chic and composed of pieces you'll reach for again and again. I got my lovely green cape last year when I was pregnant and it was a great piece for that phase of life and they recently launched a plaid version which is stunning as well.
