The Cutest Holiday Rental in Provence
Last summer we discovered we'd be crossing paths with our friends Mattia and Clemence on our road trip through southern Europe. We were traveling between Torino and Crillon-le-Brave and they were returning to Italy after a wedding in France, so we decided to spend a night in the charming medieval town of St-Paul-de-Vence to get dinner and catch up. Clemence is one of the best travel planners I've ever met (even though she doesn't do it professionally - she should!) and she found this darling vacation home for our one night stay. Beautifully restored, this 12th century house was formerly the residence of legendary French poet, writer and screenwriter Jacques Prévert, and now goes by the name "La Miette" which roughly translates to "the little crumbs". In addition to it's spectacular curb appeal the rooms are utterly charming and we loved sipping champagne on the terrace before heading to Les Ramparts for dinner (which was delicious and I highly recommend.) It was a short stay but on of our most memorable nights of the road trip because of how everything came together so beautifully.
