One Day in Lucerne

David and I are heading to DC this week for an event, then continuing on to Europe to spend a week exploring Helsinki and Zurich at the invitation of Finnair, the national airline of Finland! We only spent one day in Finland (blog post here) and one in Switzerland during our world trip, so we're very excited to return to see, eat, and do more in each country! These photos are from our one day one night visit to Lucerne, Switzerland in late October, 2017. Right after my birthday in Croatia, we had 10 days to "kill" before heading to Venice, Italy for our trip aboard the Orient Express. Since Europe was enjoying peak fall colors we decided to do a fast-paced road trip through the Alps and the Balkans to take in as much of the colorful foliage as possible - and I think we timed our impromptu visit to Switzerland just right!
