What I’m Packing for Paris in November

We’re halfway through our trip to France and it’s about time to share my packing list of everything that’s in my suitcase! These lists are always a great resource to find something quickly if a piece I’m wearing catches your eye, and inspiration for the mix of items you might want to pack on a trip of your own.  This trip is one part birthday celebration for me and we’ve also been invited on a wonderful tour of several properties in Paris and the French countryside by my favorite hotel collection – Relais & Chateaux!

So here’s what I’m packing:

Coats: The weather for the trip started off warm then took a dive into the low 40s halfway through so packing a couple coats is a good idea for the volatile weather that comes with travel this time of year. I brought this blush colored lightweight wool wrap coat, this handsome navy officer’s coat (on sale!), a classic trench, and a black wrap coat that is an absolute compliment magnet and goes with everything!

Blazers: I always feel chic when I wear a blazer while traveling whether worn on the plane or while walking around town. I brought a couple options including: this classic camel blazer (perfection!), this olive check riding jacket (on sale!), my favorite Blaze Milano blazer for travel (the deep pockets are perfect for passports and phones), and I’m also so excited about this fringe-y plaid jacket for the countryside.

Sweaters: Lightweight turtlenecks are the name of the game this time of year. I’m bringing this lightweight cashmere turtleneck in black, burgundy and ivory to mix and match with multiple outfits, this blush cashmere turtleneck,  a nutmeg colored cashmere crewneck, this ivory relaxed mockneck sweater, this festive fair isle (on sale!), this red v-neck sweater, and cashmere tee (similar here). Also packed this variegated striped sweater which is on sale now!

Tops: Love this chain print silk blouse and a festive black top (similar).

Pants: I’m finally getting into more relaxed denim silhouettes after my stranglehold on skinny jeans and am packing my favorite jeans in this wash and this wash (currently on sale and the cheapest I’ve seen! go go go!) , this pair of flared denim, these white cord pants, these ivory velveteen pants for tucking into boots and a few fun pairs like these party-ready brocade trousers (more sizes here – I’ve already worn these so many times!), these tapered trousers and these lace pants for dinners out!

Dresses: Love this foulard shirtdress (on sale!), and this bow front dress (love the blue version – and another color on sale here!) I also brought a silk Oscar de la Renta midi dress which is old, but lots of beautiful options here!

Skirts: I love a mini + boots combo this time of year and am packing my Marta Scarampi “Stacie mini skirt“, the brown Guilia mini. I’m also bringing this paisley maxi skirt and a patchwork maxi skirt from Etro (found one left). Plus I picked up a vintage Hermes skirt at Les Puces – found one here!

Shoes: These cognac knee-high boots, these chocolate suede knee high boots (love the super walkable heel and don’t take up much space in luggage!), these brown suede booties, black embellished bow sandals, black suede filigree pumps, cap toe slingbacks (similar here, also love these).

Accessories: Just two bags for this trip, a black box bag and tan top handle (current version here), brown croc waist belt, silk pocket scarf, Hermes Scarf (similar), forest silk scarf, and this luxurious cashmere wrap for the plane. I also purchased a wool scarf from Enoui Editions (see their beautiful scarves here)!

Luggage: Everything fits in this carry on plus this checked luggage and this weekender. (Currently 20% off!)

I don’t mean this to sound impolite, but I just cannot believe you fit ALL of those clothes, SIX pairs of shoes and two structured handbags into a 22″ cabin bag. I’m also packing for a trip to Paris this week and I have a cabin-size Rimowa. I can barely fit 2 pairs of pants, 2 sweaters, a couple of tee shirts and a pair of sneakers in there along with a small toiletry kit. I’d love to see a shot of your open, packed case because you must be a packing magician.

Hi Camille, I shared that I packed everything in one carry on and one checked bag. (Both pieces are linked at the same URL). Agree – it would be impossible to fit all that in a carryon. 🙂
