20 Fabulous Holiday Sale Finds

Hello, high summer! Along with holiday BBQs and beach days, the long weekend brings with it a long list of really good sales – from J.Crew and Net-a-Porter to Serena & Lily, and more! I’ve rounded up some of the best high summer sale finds below. Happy Shopping. xx

  • My blue linen dress is so classic and easy to wear, and currently on sale for $110! I love the swish of the full skirt and the way the stripe is placed on the bodice. Such gorgeous quality especially for the price!
  • These knotted white sandals have been my go-to summer shoe are on sale for the first time ever this week! I love the design inspired by sailor knots, which add something special to sundresses or a look with simple white jeans. See all the ways I’ve styled them here, here and here.
  • This striped knit dress just arrived and it’s fantastic! I had been eyeing it for months but didn’t pull the trigger until it was on sale. The material is a linen blend which has a lovely luster and makes it very comfortable and lightweight. This dress is your answer to cool summer nights when you don’t want to bring a sweater or shawl, and will be a go-to piece when transitioning into fall. Play up the summery side with raffia accessories now, and swap for caramel colored suede bag and shoes later. The photos on the model don’t do it justice!
  • J.Crew’s liberty print dresses are so chic and this pretty halter style is under $100 with code “JULY”!
  • Love the chic minimal lines on this sculptural bucket bag (also found it on sale in burgundy which is gorg!)
  • This hot pink eyelet dress is STUNNING.
  • I’ve had my eye on this embroidered tunic for months and just snagged it on super sale!
  • I love this brand’s elevated take on canvas totes. This striped version and this green quilted version are both on sale and so chic!
  • Love these delicate baroque pearl drops which work with anything from a simple white shirt to a cocktail dress!
  • Tuckernuck’s sale section is full of gems, especially if you’re on the hunt for a new dress!
  • Random and opulent, and likely something more for fall/winter, I’m obsessed with these embellished pumps (love the black for evening, or the white if you’re a bride!)
  • This knotted shoulder bag is rather impractical, but also incredibly beautiful. Would spruce up wardrobe basics and I’d wear with everything from a beach sweater + linen trousers to a trench + jeans.
  • I’m obsessed with this linen shirt and have it in three colors (see the ways I’ve worn it here). Snap the striped version up for only $36 and wear with white shorts or linen pants like I did here. I’d recommend sizing down!
  • I almost never take of my Haverhill Pendant Necklace and right now it’s 20% off with code “SUMMER20”. Mine is garnet (our baby boy’s birthstone) but there are so many beautiful birthstones to choose from!
  • I just snagged this little side table on sale to go next to a favorite reading chair and love the simple silhouette, petite size which can be tucked anywhere and little gold band on the top that makes it feel special.
  • Ok this block print one piece swimsuit is fab! Just add a big straw hat! (I always size up.)
  • Just bought this pearl choker at 50% off to layer with my other necklaces!
  • Love the paisley-esque print of this romantic chiffon dress.
  • The perfect statement shell earring for summer accessorizing and they’re under $25!
  • We have these beach chairs and love them so much! They’re a timeless look and hold up beautifully to sand and salt spray, and the backpack style straps make for easy hand free toting to and from the beach!

Hi Stacie: Just loving all of your amazing red, white and blue “fun” from New Hampshire to Nantucket celebrations with your family, your adorable baby boy, special home decor and dining tips, to your exquisite curating of timeless clothing. I have a couple of questions re: sizing for the J.Crew Capitaine Striped Navy/White Linen Dolman Shirt before I order mine since it is on final sale this weekend. For reference, I have a 38B bustline, longer torso with short waist-LOL so longer slim line waisted or tucked blouses or dresses look best on my figure. I also swim regularly so my biceps and shoulders are slightly wide. As such, I wear a Large in the J. Crew Emelie Lady Cardigan in Navy/Moroccan Stripe which fits perfectly and allows for slight shrinking when I wash. Cotton poplin J. Crew and J. Crew Factory shirts are between Medium and Large, and all cotton Girlfriend Tees are best in Large. However, I don’t want my Capitaine striped shirt to look sloppy or too baggy but I need the arm holes to be comfortable with my developed upper arms. J. Crew suggests a Medium but wanted your thoughts on ordering a Small. I assume you ordered a XS. You are probably wearing a Size 2 and I am a 10 or 12 in Talbots, Ralph Lauren and most dress brands, 31 J. Crew White Jeans….Would you recommend I go with the M Striped Capitaine and try to shrink or alter if too big, or take a chance and order the S Stiped Capitaine and hope for the best? I know this is a lot but so few manufacturers have measurements available through customer service these days!!! Happy 4th and have a glorious New England summer. XX MaryBeth

Hi Mary Beth Thanks for your patience! If you haven’t ordered the top yet, I’m guessing the Medium is a safe bet for you. I’m usually an XS at J.Crew and got this top in an XXS, which still had a nice blouse-y effect without being oversized, and by tying it at the waist you have some flexibility when gathering the fabric up to knot it. I’d err on the side of a little extra fabric, rather than something too small. I hope that helps! Let me know what you decide on! xx Stacie

Got so focused on the J. Crew Capitaine Shirt that I forgot to ask you opinion on your gorgeous Ralph Lauren Linen dress. I am thinking about ordering the Lauren and the J.Crew Pink Liberty Print dresses. As for the RL dress, the reviews on the RL online site are mixed on the sizing around the upper body due to the boning in the sides of the dress. What is your opinion on this dress and whether it runs small or TTS? It seems that the J. Crew Liberty dress is running TTS and has some smocking under the bust that extends through to a dropped waist? One on the reasons I just love this fabulous dress. I know you are so busy with that adorable boy so I understand if you can’t reply right away. XX MB

Hello again! So the blue linen RL dress is definitely has boning but I think it’s true to size. The Liberty was also true to size for me! Both are so beautiful and phenomenal prices on sale! xx Stacie
