Daily seasonal styles to inspire your own timeless wardrobe

20 of February’s Best Dresses

Now is the perfect time to refresh your dress wardrobe with pieces that feel light, optimistic, and endlessly versatile, with just enough romance for the season. I always look for styles that work beautifully right now with simple layers and polished accessories, but can just as easily be worn on their own once the days warm up. This edit focuses on dresses that strike that balance, from elevated knits and effortless shirtdresses to romantic florals and statement silks. These are the kinds of pieces you’ll reach for again and again, whether you’re dressing for a Valentine’s dinner, everyday wear, or a spring getaway.

  • The playful print on this silk swing dress is so fun for a Valentine's dinner or galentine's brunch. Pair with tights and pumps now, then bare legs and strappy sandals (under $100!) like I did come spring. (Also loved pairing my new chunky cocktail ring with this dress.) If mini dresses aren't for you, this silk midi dress version in a bold floral is equally glam.
  • I bought this silk midi dress in another color last year and it was one of my readers favorite finds of 2025! (Seen in Italy here.) I love that they brought it back in a stunning crimson hue. Perfect for Valentine's Day with heels and a clutch, then transition it into warmer months with woven sandals and a straw bag. I wear my larger, normal size in this dress. (The way the seams wrap around the bodice you don't want it to be tight and pucker!)
  • This striped shirtdress is a wardrobe workhorse. Like your classic diamond studs, this dress does it all. Wear to the office, a bridal shower (with these heels!) or barefoot in your backyard.
  • This blue floral midi dress reminds me of Emilia Wickstead and is giving English garden party in the best way. Wear with white pumps now and nude sandals when the weather turns.
  • I'm obsessed with the hand-cut fringe on this white knit mini, it moves so beautifully. Perfect for a spring getaway dinner with a strappy flat and this clutch.
  • This cotton-cashmere knit dress is infinitely versatile. Wear yours under a blazer with boots now, and the sky blue version is dreamy with these flirty sandals and this wicker clutch on vacation.
  • If you need one dress that does everything, this black cotton flared dress is it. Polished enough for the office with a do-it-all tote and these smart heels, easy enough for weekends with woven tote and flats.
  • A beautiful printed shirtdress that feels effortless but pulled together. The sash belt and pockets make it incredibly practical, and I love it for everything from weekend errands to a spring break beach town stroll.
  • If you love a statement dress, this blue and gold silk-blend maxi dress is a showstopper. The paisley print feels so luxe. Pair with gold accessories in winter ( these heels!), and white or straw for spring weddings.
  • I love the tassel fringe detail on this rich brown satin dress. It's the kind of effortlessly polished piece you want for dinners out, pair with my favorite gold earrings and eye-catching bag.
  • If you have a spring wedding or shower on the calendar, this pink floral ruffled midi is a dream. The tiered silhouette is so romantic with heels and statement earrings.
  • A navy wool knit maxi is the kind of dress you'll reach for constantly in cooler months, and can work in early spring by swapping your accessories. Pair with tall boots or navy suede pumps for the office, or gold jewelry and cream accessories as the weather warms up.
  • Planning a spring break getaway? This airy cotton maxi dress with its scallop trim and fit-and-flare shape is exactly what you want to throw on with wrap sandals for a day poking around the shops.
  • This tobacco gingham shirtdress has the most flattering bias-cut skirt and works from early spring through fall. Add a belt or leave it as-is with espadrilles and a chic little bag.
  • This stunning red textured maxi has the most gorgeous bias cut and frayed trim details. (Also comes in fuchsia!) The nubby texture makes it work now, but the fringe carries it into warmer weather. Wear it solo with kitten heels for dinner, or add a blazer for a more polished look.
  • The ruched waist on this floral midi dress is so flattering, and the dark print makes it work year-round. I'd style it with black knee-high boots now and flat sandals and big bangles for warm weather.
  • A long silk slip dress is always and elegant option for dinner dates and weddings, especially in a moody berry floral. Love!
  • The gold buttons on this structured denim dress give it such a chic Parisian feel. It works at the office with sand slingbacks, and out to dinner with a stiletto sandal.
  • Not a dress, but I'm obsessed with the cobalt floral print on this peplum top and matching pencil skirt Wear them together for a wedding or pair the top with white trousers for a spring lunch.
  • This cream bouclé midi dress is the definition of understated glamour. Wrap up in a featherweight ivory cashmere wrap and pair with a cream clutch and luxe croc slingbacks now, and a statement floral slingback later.
