We’re physically in Croatia for our 4th anniversary and my birthday, but our hearts are with Napa, Sonoma, and Mendocino this week. Aside from countless weekends spent enjoying California’s wine country over the years, we married at a winery in St. Helena, and my brother Scott lives and works in Napa. It’s been saddening to see reports of the deaths and devastation this week, updates from friends that had to evacuate their homes, and texts from my brother showing flames on the hilltops near his house in Napa.
