Today’s partnership is really, really special, as I’m proud to introduce to you a beautiful new fashion designer founded by a longtime follower and member of this community – Fleur Sauvage! I had the chance to test drive these beautiful luxury silk scarves while in England and am excited to share this collection of feminine must-have accessories and how to style them with all of you!!
It all began in April 2022, when at the age of 40, Fleur Sauvage fashion designer, Maria Confer was diagnosed with breast cancer. Over the following 8 months, Maria faced a double mastectomy, chemotherapy, and several rounds of surgeries. During her darkest days, she was gifted a gorgeous luxury silk scarf to wear during hair loss. That generous gift sparked joy by giving her the ability to feel beautiful and chic at a time when she felt anything but.

During her recovery Maria was inspired by her nine year old son to start drawing again. As her colorful and patterned drawing style emerged it became clear that what she was creating would translate beautifully into silk scarves. With a new mission in mind, Maria sought out the best sustainable silk printers, finding an incredible, GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) certified sustainable factory in England where her 100% silk scarves are now made in small batches, with the highest attention to designer detail, like hand-rolled hems. With the sustainable focus, every piece of packaging is either reusable or made from recycled and compostable materials making scarves fully sustainable, and 10% of all profits are donated to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

The Bandana
I love this colorful style for pairing with fitted blazers, crew neck sweaters or button up shirts. Fold your scarf in half along the diagonal, center the point at the front of your chest, then loop the ends around your neck tying in the front. I like to wear with the point slightly off to the side. This can be a trendy statement piece with a patterned design, floral motif, or even a geometric fashion.

The Sling
The easiest way to style silk scarves. Fold your scarf in half along the diagonal, and tie the ends behind your neck, creating a big drape-y sling. Looks best over a button down with a popped collar and this season’s trendy oversized blazers. Works with geometric or floral patterns.

The Drape
A casual look that works well under almost any jacket or blazer, I like this style to add a colorful or patterned detail to a look. Fold your scarf in half diagonally, then wrap the triangle back and forth like an accordion. Drape over your shoulders and wrap around your neck so the edge falls in ruffly folds. Work with floral, geometric, or any pattern.

The Modern Ascot
This is a trendy style for silk scarves to add a little interest or colorful pop of elegance to the neckline of your sweater. Fold your scarf on the diagonal then roll it into a 2” wide ribbon. Loop around your neck twice and tie. (Fit should be snug.) Arrange so it lays nicely under the neckline of your sweater to stand out as a subtle statement piece.

The Belt
Fold your scarf in half along the diagonal and roll it up before tying it around your waist. It’s a wonderful finishing touch to fit ‘n flare dresses, high waisted pants, or left fluttering from the belt loops of your trench coat as a statement piece. I love weaving it through this leather belt designed for a scarf for extra polish and elegance.

The Twilly Ribbon
This is such an easy fashion to style and add a little color and interest to your bag and overall look. Tie your twilly ribbon in a loose knot around the handle of your bag, leaving about 4” free, then loop the ribbon around the handle as you go, ending with a second knot on the other side and another 4″ free.

Oh I love this post! I so love silk scarves! I like the smaller size to wrap around with collared shirts to add color and some pizzazz. I also like to tie the smaller size or twilly as a bracelet when I have shorter sleeves and don’t want to wear a bracelet. Of course you are so right with the larger size and can be worn a multitude of ways. Thanks for sharing these lovely scarves and sharing her inspiring story.
