An Afternoon at Burford Garden Company

On our first day in England we landed early and had a few hours before checking into our hotel. I’ve wanted to visit Burford Garden Company for several years and it was the perfect spot to wander through the garden center, admire their beautiful selection of home goods and gardening tools and get lunch in their cafe. The garden store is extensive and provided endless entertainment for our little boy, pointing out the different flowers and colors in row ofter row of clematis, roses, bulbs and more. (Very stroller friendly too!) Everything was beautifully merchandised and if I lived locally I’d be here every weekend. I’m an amateur gardener, but England’s beautiful gardens are a big part of why we love it here. We left with so much inspiration for our own home and a wishlist a mile long.

Little guy is huge and looking more like you every day. I love his little suede booties and his olive quilted jacked- de rigeur for young gardeners in training. All he needs is some tiny wellies!
PS- I bought one if Sarah Flint’s gorgeous scarf – weaving leather belts when they went on sale. Not cool enough yet to wear it in Maryland but soon. A thousand ways to wear that one!
Enjoy England- hope uou make it to Hidcote Gardens in the Cotswolds although I suspect you’ve already been there. Cheers!

Hi Stacie. Bruford looks magical. Would you mind sharing what type of shoes your little boy is wearing? My one year old dislikes shoes as a rule but those ones look like they might be comfortable.

Hi Kelli! This trip is his first time really wearing shoes and he doesn’t seem to mind them! These are the shoes and they have velco on each side so you can split them in half and bend them wide open when putting them on. Very soft inside and have been keeping his feet perfectly warm! I hope they work for your little one! xx Stacie
