A Fall Capsule with Talbots

Fall is one of my favorite times to refresh my wardrobe, and this season, I’m excited to partner with Talbots to share my favorite pieces from their new collection. Whether you’re dressing for a cozy weekend getaway, a friend’s dinner party, or elevating your everyday style, these timeless essentials are perfect for building a versatile fall capsule wardrobe. Cashmere knits – Come fall I’m reaching for pieces with extra texture and a cable knit sweater is foundational to so many looks from casual to dressy. Wear it as a top, a scarf, popped over a button up shirt or draped over your shoulders with a silky slip dress for a night out – it always looks right. I especially love the fold over neck on this cashmere sweater which reminds me of something Audrey Hepburn would wear (and love the universally flattering aubergine color.)

Old school twinset’s are incredibly versatile, especially when they come in a goes-with-anything neutral, and cozy cashmere knit. This camel shell and coordinating cardigan are perfect companions for everything from board meetings to date nights. Wear the shell or cardigan alone as a layer under your blazers or pop on the shell and tie the cardigan around your neck like a scarf. (The cardigan has a little gather at the shoulder which I love! A pretty detail without adding volume to your shoulders.)

Wooly Blazers – This “third piece” adds instant polish to any look, and selecting a blazer in a fabulous autumnal plaid gives you lots of options for tying in coordinating colors. Pop the collar on this lively plaid version to protect your neck from the cold and reveal the handsome navy and green underside. (Also nice to note the functional buttons at the cuffs. I like to unbutton the last button on each sleeve for a little added flair.)

Fresh Denim – Talbots is a secret source for amazing denim at a great price. I especially love this pair of medium wash boot cut jeans which have a flattering cut that makes them the perfect companion for the seasons pointed toe booties and heels.

A Chic Loafer – Loafers are the perfect autumn shoe, offering the comfort of a sneaker with a bit more polish and collegiate flair. This suede pair is a foot flattering addition to your wardrobe perfect to keep you comfortable on your feet whether at the pumpkin patch or during an afternoon spent antiquing.

Lux Accessories – From a leopard slingback to an eye catching pendant necklace to a buttery pair of leather gloves, fall is the time to lean into luxurious accessories to complete your look. This tiger eye pendant necklace is major style bang for your buck and the stone is so incredibly gorgeous. It is perfect for elongating your figure (the long v draws the eye up and down) and brightens up dark colored tops.
