Day to Night with Charlotte Brody

This post is in partnership with Charlotte Brody

It has been such a treat to be back in the English countryside this week, enjoying long ambling walks, poking around historic homes, antiquing and hours spent lingering in the beautiful gardens at the Cotswold’s newest hotel. Whether I’m traveling or making the most of autumn back home, this time of year I start reaching for pieces with luxurious textures, autumnal prints and a little extra tailoring and polish. One brand that I’ve worn for years that does all three beautifully is Charlotte Brody

I first met Charlotte Brody’s founder, Jennifer Argenti, in Paris, and have slowly collected pieces from her exquisite brand ever since. Each Charlotte Brody garment is handmade in small batches in New York City. (Meaning it’s the perfect place to shop to ensure you don’t show up in the same dress as another woman at the party.) And Charlotte Brody’s tailoring really is exceptional, from the shape of a blazer to the drape of a silk dress, each piece is carefully crafted to make you look and feel your best.  Charlotte Brody ensures you’ll be wearing something special that is made to last and can be enjoyed for decades to come.

Jennifer named her brand after her grandmother, Charlotte Brody, who was a master gardener, international rose judge and great lover of travel. She spent the last 40 years of her life educating people in her community about the importance of organic foods and gardening for a healthier lifestyle, and many of the brand’s beautiful prints reflect her love of nature, from hand painted botanical prints to the feathered design of the dress I’m wearing above.

So it only felt natural to pack a few new pieces from Charlotte Brody’s new fall collection for our trip to the Cotswolds. The garden at our hotel was created by renowned garden designer, Rosemary Verey, which are an expression of quintessential English beauty filled with listed archways, potager gardens and a lush laburnum walkway. I wore this beautiful silk dress for dinner, and a handsome blazer, sweater and trouser combination for a day of touring the nearby village of Bibury and antiquing in Tetbury.

To try out this beautiful collection for yourself, Charlotte Brody is offering a special discount of 15% off your order until September 30th.

A few favorites from the fall collection:

  • Denim – What is the quickest (and only) way to look like you’ve grown 2 inches? Slip on these jeans. Their gentle flared leg instantly gives you that “legs for days” look when paired with kitten heels or almond toed boots and have a good bit of stretch making them supremely comfortable, whether you’re on your way to school drop off or touring honey-hued villages in the Cotswolds. I reached for them many times on this trip because they are just so comfortable yet look super chic with a cozy knit sweater
  • Dresses – I have a few Charlotte Brody dresses and most of them are silk, for good reason, her silk styles are cut “just so” and flutter beautifully as you walk and yet are thick enough to smooth your curves. Plus silk makes for a wonderful canvas to showcase Charlotte Brody’s signature prints. There is just something about the cut of this dress that makes you feel SO GOOD. Wear it with pumps and bare legs now, and add a heeled knee high boot later.
  • Blazers – A gorgeous tailored blazer is a fall essential and this mini check adds interest to your outfit while still reading as a neutral. The wool fabric is a superb English worsted plaid and traveled beautifully – emerging from my suitcase wrinkle free!
  • Knits – What sets Charlotte Brody’s knits apart from others is they’re slightly more architectural than most. I’m obsessed with the cozy funnel neck on this cashmere number and the beautiful loop stitch knit. It is also much softer than most cashmere.
  • Accessories – From beautiful belts to statement earrings Charlotte Brody has a beautifully edited assortment of pieces to finish off your look. I especially love the earthy texture of these wood drop earrings for fall.
