Gordes is one of the prettiest towns in Provence, and definitely worth a visit, whether for an afternoon or a couple of days. We’ve done both! We loved staying at La Bastide, perched on the ramparts of this medieval village and overlooking the region. The hotel is the kind where you feel like you never have to leave, and could just relax there all day (or pop out to wander the small winding streets of the ancient village). From Gordes, we have loved visiting nearby towns of Crillon-le-Brave and Apt (home of some of my favorite pottery designs).
