Sparkling jewels are such a beautiful complement to the season’s luxurious textures and deeper tones, and a tennis bracelet is a staple in any woman’s jewelry box. This investment piece has been at the top of my wishlist for a long time and since I’ve been unsuccessful in running off with my mother’s tennis bracelet, I’ve tried out several costume jewelry versions but nothing came close – until I found Dorsey.
Dorsey’s jewelry is created with perfect, lab-grown gemstones and fine jewelry craftsmanship, that offer the sparkle of a mined diamond at a much more appealing price point. Dorsey’s gemstones are engineered in a lab under conditions that mimic how stones naturally develop underground, so they have the same physical and chemical properties as mined stones, offering a more affordable stone with the same quality, sparkle, durability, and timelessness. While they offer lab-grown diamonds, Dorsey’s white sapphires sparkle like diamonds and are the secret to their incredible price points. While it’s tempting to keep this secret to myself and let others assume it’s a family heirloom, many of you have already asked about the new bit of sparkle on my wrist, and I’m happy to share this amazing find with all of you!
James Bezel 3mm White Sapphire Tennis Bracelet – To say I’m obsessed with this bracelet is an understatement. A halo of white sapphire stones bezel set in 18k gold vermeil is the perfect addition to literally any outfit. Each sapphire is outlined in a slim border of 18k gold vermeil, which means there’s a 2.5 micron layer of gold over sterling silver, and is virtually impervious to tarnishing! The setting is incredibly smooth and the way the bracelet moves is very fluid, meaning it won’t snag your favorite sweater and drapes beautifully around your wrist. No one will believe this bracelet is under $400.
I’d recommend taking a ribbon and measuring the circumference of your wrist then picking the length that’s 1/2 an inch larger. I have a 6.5 inch wrist and am wearing the 7 inch size which is 6.72 CTW of white sapphires – and let me tell you the sparkle is intense! The beauty of a tennis bracelet is while it may have megawatt sparkle, it works well with both casual and dressier outfits. I love a tennis bracelet when worn on it’s own, stacked with other bracelets (like this!), or paired with a classic watch. (Another thing to note is how incredibly beautiful and sturdy the clasp is – though I didn’t snap a photo for this post!)
Aside from my James Bezel Tennis Bracelet, they offer other settings and sizes including their most popular Kate Tennis Bracelet and the super chic Dorsey Princess Cut Tennis Bracelet. All of their tennis bracelet styles are also offered as tennis necklaces, which I was a bit on the fence about at first (is that much sparkle too much?!), but have totally fallen for the look – especially when worn casually – like with a cashmere sweater and jeans.
Lucien White Sapphire Leverback, Gold – I love how a drop earrings brightens ones complexion and the Lucien White Sapphire Leverback earring encircles the white sapphire in an alluring gunmetal setting which is beautiful with fall’s moody hues! I have the large 3 carat version but both sizes are beautiful and have major sparkle but are perfect for everyday wear. I find drop earrings look especially chic with a chunky turtleneck and your hair pulled back like I did here.
Dorsey’s designs are heavily influenced by the founder’s grandmother’s vintage jewelry collection and many of the pieces have vintage-inspired details, and I also love the look of these asscher cut statement earrings and these lab-grown emerald drop earrings too!
While I am personally drawn to yellow gold, most of Dorsey’s designs are available in either 18k yellow gold or sterling silver to suit your preference!
