Earl Gray Old Fashioned Cocktail Recipe
One of our favorite cocktails during quarantine has been the Earl Gray Old Fashioned created by my friend Hannah Chamberlain of Spirited LA. She first introduced me to earl gray simple syrup at a dinner party in San Francisco and we've loved it ever since! It only takes 3 ingredients and feels fancy while being so simple.
A few tools I use to make the cocktail mixing process foolproof and a little extra special include a nice lowball glass (I got these as a wedding present and love them), a large ice cube tray (they melt more slowly than smaller cubes and look so elegant) and a food scale to get the bourbon pour just right. :)

earl gray simple syrup recipe: Bring 1 cup water to a boil on the stove. Add 1 cup pure cane sugar and stir until dissolved. Turn off heat and add 3 earl gray tea bags to steep for 10 minutes. Remove tea bags and chill in refrigerator before adding to cocktail. Simple Syrup lasts covered in the refrigerator up to 3 weeks. Discard if it starts to look cloudly.
