The daffodils, hyacinth, and tulips are popping up around New England this week and they have me excited for a summer of outdoor get-togethers. Garden parties are synonymous with summer entertaining, and whether you have an invite to an outdoor wedding or casual backyard graduation party on your calendar, dressing for warm weather events is the perfect opportunity to wear something fabulous and floral. Saks is my go-to destination for some of my favorite designers who do florals SO WELL including Zimmermann, Oscar de la Renta, Cara Cara, and Carolina Herrera, as well as a plethora of neutral accessories for the perfect finishing touch! I’ve rounded up my favorite garden party styles from Saks below to carry you through every outdoor event with ease.

A fabulous floral dress – Few things are as romantic as a floral dress, whether you opt for something short and preppy or longer and refined. I love this linen floral number from Zimmermann, which evokes the romantic nostalgia of 1980s Ralph Lauren but in a fresh and simple silhouette. (It runs a bit small in the bust so size up!) Other favorites include this pale pink midi from Staud (on sale!), this green maxi dress from Cara Cara, this splurge-worthy number from Carolina Herrera.

Strappy neutral sandals – I like to pair neutral accessories with a statement making floral dress, and while I would normally advise a wedge or block heel for outdoor events, I couldn’t resist the elegant design of this pair of strappy sandals which are only $138! Other garden party ready pairs include this classic espadrille (a wardrobe essential!), this metallic wedge (I bought a pair last summer and love them!), or these comfy raffia kitten heels

A versatile woven bag – I love a straw bag for summer and there are so many beautiful options done in raffia, wicker and straw to choose from! The one I’m carrying from Loeffler Randall is lightweight but holds a ton – including my phone, wallet, sunglasses and a lipstick, plus a few essentials for my baby boy as well. Other favorites include mini bags like this, this and this, or totes like this, this, or this.

A little sparkle – When wearing a fun, floral dress picking simple jewelry usually does the trick. Pearls always bring out the best in your complexion, and I love the mod little gold stud that mirrors the organic curves of the baroque pearl in this pair of earrings by new-to-me brand Chan Luu!  Other favorites include these green huggie hoops, these oversized pearls, and these vintage inspired cabochon clip ons

Hi there! Absolutely love your classic and refined style as we have similar tastes and body types. Without getting too personal, do you have a recommendation for a good quality strapless bra? Many of your outfits require one and you never seem to have the odd fit that some can give. Thanks ever so much.

Adorable sandals and handbag! Also, from the few sneak-peeks we get of your home, it is lovely. Would enjoy some decor posts as well. Really enjoy your blog and your classic elegant style. That baby boy is precious.
