Mother’s Day Celebrations with Mark & Graham
This post is in partnership with Mark and Graham.
Mother's day is around the corner and whether you're hoping for a slow start to the day with breakfast in bed or enjoying a fun game night in we are making our celebrations at home extra sweet with beautiful pieces from Mark and Graham! I've curated some of my favorite pieces that will allow moms to relax and unwind from all that they do, both on Mother's day and beyond. One of my favorite things about Mark and Graham is you can personalize almost anything on their site with a name or monogram for an extra thoughtful touch. You can order personalized gifts until May 7th to arrive by Mother’s Day.
BREAKFAST IN BED
I was never a breakfast in bed person until I had a newborn. After being up multiple times in the night you just want to linger in bed a liiiiiittle longer. (And sometimes have no choice if your baby loves contact naps!) In the first two months of being a mom, David would often make me breakfast and bring it to me in bed, and I wish I had this beautiful setup in those early days! There's nothing like snuggling up in a soft robe with a delicious breakfast spread that makes you feel like you're getting 5 star hotel treatment at home. A great breakfast tray just *makes* the experience, and I especially love that this tray comes with an acrylic insert which protects the raffia from spills and pops out for easy cleaning. (You can also have the insert monogrammed!) Other beautiful touches include a petite bouquet of flowers in a silver mint julep cup (I have the large size), juice in a pretty glass, and a nice napkin to elevate the experience. Just add some berries and favorite pastries from your local bakery!
GAME NIGHT IN
While days with a baby are busy, it's always nice to have a few minutes to relax and reconnect each night. Enjoying a glass of wine and a game of backgammon is a new favorite pastime, and now that I'm able to eat cheese and charcuterie again this is the perfect no-cook evening meal! Backgammon is so fun (even though I just started playing and am not very good), and Mark and Graham makes so many beautiful versions of this game in a range of colors to complement every decor scheme. The boards are so pretty I like leaving ours open on our family room ottoman, which makes it easy to pick up the game where we left off from night to night. (If backgammon isn't your thing they make beautiful versions of many classic games all of which can be personalized!) Snacks are essential for a good game night and serving cheese on a marble platter is key for keeping the cheese cool. I love this scalloped cheese platter which is just the right size, paired with its matching wine cooler - both of which can be etched with a monogram making them a lovely gift! The raffia sleeves on these stemless wine glasses are also perfect for keeping chilled wine cool as touching the glass directly warms up your drink. Brilliant and so chic!
