Nautical Navy
Living by the water for the past month is making me gravitate towards all things nautical. From cozy fisherman's sweaters to this whimsical china pattern, I'm increasingly obsessed with ship motifs, navy and stripes. I'm slowly learning that wild changes in the weather are a part of coastal living so we try to make the most of the beautiful sunny days with long walks and spending some time hanging out on the docks. This past weekend's weather was such a mood booster, and given the torrential downpour outside as I type I can't believe it was warm enough to wear shorts two days ago.
If we're able to travel again this summer I will definitely be wearing this outfit on Nantucket. The sweater-shorts combo is a favorite for foggy mornings spent sipping coffee on the porch. The sweater is by La Ligne (but unfortunately no longer available) and these shorts are my favorite. The 4" inseam is long enough that you can wear them while biking or sitting on a picnic blanket and they look better and better the more you wear them in. (Plus, they're only $25 right now.)
I first discovered Turkish handbag brand, Mehry Mu two years ago and adore their ladylike silhouettes, unexpected materials like caning and rope, and signature scalloped closures. (Last seen here and here.) The founder, Gunes and I like to catch up every few months and I was thrilled when she sent this beautiful Mini Jung bag from her latest collection. I love a white bag for the spring and summer and it will pair perfectly with these white Natalie flats and white block-heeled sandals, as well as more casual footwear like the toile loafers I'm wearing in these photos.
