I just love setting a festive table for the Christmas season, bringing out special china and crystal pieces, and adding greenery to every surface, from the mantle to the chandelier. We're hosting Christmas Eve dinner tonight for my family and I'm excited to start new traditions now that my parents have moved to NH (and David's mom is moving soon too!) We always try to do a fondue dinner sometime between Christmas and New Years and wanted to get one in before the baby arrives, which is a fun and easy menu for this time of year. (Our family recipe here!)
The table is a collection of cherished pieces, that got a fresh new look with this festive tablecloth from Malabar Collective! I started collecting the Raynaud plates after seeing them at Les Hauts de Loire in France, and love how they feel Christmas-y without being overly thematic. I kept the centerpieces simple, so we can easily remove the topiaries when we're ready to eat, and place the fondue pots in the middle instead. Cedar garland and brass stars lend extra sparkle to our chandelier. I'm skipping candles tonight as fondue pots require a lot of reaching and don't want extra open flames around the table, but we'll have a fire going!
Off to prep! Merry Christmas everyone!
