Since visiting Sarah Flint’s showroom in New York last month my obsession with her beautiful collection of perfect pumps and elegant footwear has only grown. I picked out this gorgeous pair of Emma Slings in patent leather tortoise during my trip and they arrived last week. I love a shoe that is demure enough for the office but has sufficient personality so you want to wear them on the weekends as well: enter the Emma Sling in tortoise. With it’s pointed toe and 2” block heel it elongates your legs while still feeling as comfy as a flat. They look great paired with cropped trousers, a pencil skirt, or shirtdress for the office, and still add a fun bit of flair to a sundress for dinner out on the weekends.
I love the versatility of tortoise and this heel hits the mark in a glossy patent leather with hints of camel, chocolate and black – a trifecta of neutrals that will go with so many pieces already hanging in your closet. I love the look of brown and white even more than black and white and plan to pair these heels with LWDs (little white dresses) all season long. (My shift is from last season, but you can find a similar work appropriate version here, and a weekend-ready version here.) This slingback heel also comes in camel, silver leather, or a fun blue raffia inspired by the colors of Greece, as well as a range of colors in the classic Emma Pump.
Sarah designs all of her shoes in New York City and they are handmade in Italy. (I definitely recommend following @sarahflint_nyc on Instagram for her behind the scenes coverage of how each gorgeous shoe is made!) As you can probably tell I’m a huge huge fan and if you missed my first post about Sarah Flint’s Perfect Pumps (that truly are perfect!) and her mission to create beautiful shoes that are stylish without sacrificing comfort you can read that here.
