Sarah Flint Shoes Review: Are They Worth It After 7 Years?
Why Sarah Flint Shoes Are So Special (And Why I’ve Been Wearing Them for 7 Years)
I’ve been wearing Sarah Flint shoes for over seven years now, and somewhere along the way they quietly took over my closet. I currently own more than 40 pairs, many in multiple colors, and they are by far my most-worn shoes, season after season.
That says a lot, especially considering I also own plenty of designer shoes from brands like Manolo Blahnik, Chanel, Gianvito Rossi, Saint Laurent, and Prada. I love beautiful shoes, I collect them, and I rotate through them often, but when I’m honest with myself, the pairs I reach for most consistently are always my Sarah Flints.
So what makes them different?
Exceptional comfort (that actually lasts all day)
Sarah Flint shoes are designed with real life in mind. Every pair includes thoughtful comfort features that you rarely find in traditional luxury footwear: built-in anatomical arch support, wider toe boxes to prevent crowding, and double the padding in the sole for extra cushioning.
The result is a shoe that looks elegant and polished, but feels supportive enough to wear for hours. I can walk all day, stand through meetings, travel, attend events, and still dance at night without thinking about my feet. That combination is incredibly rare.
Handmade in Italy, by family-owned factories
One of the things that deepened my loyalty to the brand was visiting the family-owned factories in Italy where Sarah Flint shoes are made. Seeing the production process up close (check out my Instagram highlight here) gave me an entirely new appreciation for the craftsmanship behind each pair, and I've returned to Italy with the Sarah Flint team several times to document their incredibly special production process.
Every shoe is made by hand using the highest quality Italian leathers and materials. The attention to detail is extraordinary, from how the leather is cut and stretched, to how the soles are finished and stitched. It is true luxury craftsmanship, but done in a way that prioritizes comfort just as much as beauty.
Luxury quality, without luxury pricing
Another major reason I continue to invest in Sarah Flint shoes is the value. While many brands assemble their shoes in Italy but complete much of the cutting and stitching elsewhere, Sarah Flint shoes are fully certified Made in Italy, crafted from start to finish in the same factories as the world’s leading luxury brands.
The difference is that Sarah Flint sells direct to consumer, which removes many of the traditional retail markups. That means you’re getting true luxury-level craftsmanship and comfort at a fraction of the price of comparable designer shoes.
When you compare them side by side with brands like Manolo Blahnik or Gianvito Rossi, the quality absolutely holds its own, but the price point is dramatically more approachable. It’s one of the rare cases where you don’t feel like you’re paying simply for a logo. (I actually prefer shoes without logos, and love that Sarah's "signature" is three stitches on the back heel, that stand for her values of fit, craft and design.)
Timeless design, not trend-chasing
Another reason my collection keeps growing is that the designs don’t feel dated after one season. Sarah Flint shoes are classic, refined, flattering and feminine without being boring. They work with everything from jeans and dresses to tailoring and evening wear, which makes them incredibly versatile and easy to justify the investment.
I wear the same styles year after year, often adding new colors because I know I’ll reach for them constantly.
Celebrities Who Wear Sarah Flint (and Why It Matters)
Celebrities who have worn Sarah Flint shoes include Meghan Markle, Amal Clooney, Paris Hilton, Jane Fonda, Lady Gaga, and Cindy Crawford. Whether out for official engagements or fashion events, these women have chosen Sarah Flint’s handcrafted Italian shoes for their blend of comfort and style — a rare combination at this level of luxury.
A quick note on sizing
Because I own so many pairs, one small nuance I’ve noticed is that sizing can vary slightly by style.
In the more structured, pointed-toe styles (like the Perfect Pump 85 and the Perfect Dress Boot), I consistently wear a 38.5 for the best fit.
In more open styles, like the Perfect Block Sandal 60mm and the Perfect Sandal 85, I size down to a 38, which feels perfect.
It’s not unusual with handmade Italian shoes, but it’s helpful to know when ordering your first pair. If you’re between sizes or choosing between a pointed toe and an open style, this is something to keep in mind. Each product page has detailed sizing guidance that is very helpful for figuring out your best size. (Their customer support team is very hepful too if you want a little extra guidance!)
My honest take
I don’t say this lightly: if I had to narrow my shoe closet down to one brand, it would be Sarah Flint.
They’re the rare combination of:
- truly comfortable
- beautifully made
- timeless in design
- very well-priced
- and durable enough to handle real life

That said, everything shared in this review reflects my honest experience as a customer of more than seven years, and I only invest in brands I truly love and wear.

SHOPPING LIST:
Perfect Pump 85mm
Sarah Flint's Perfect Pump in the 85mm heel height was my first ever shoe from the brand, which I got back in 2018. (The photo with the taupe jacket and palm trees above from way back when I was living in San Francisco!) 7 years later I have it in almost every color, and it's my most loved silhouette from her collection. Her Perfect Pumps are packed with extra special features - from the sexy "v" vamp which shows the perfect amount of toe cleavage (and elongates your legs), to ergonomic arch support, to a reinforced heel, to an extra 3mm of padding in the ball of the foot (6mm total) - these heels are designed to ensure you're as chic as you are comfortable every step of your day. They are so popular, Sarah Flint makes them in over a dozen different fabrications, including luxurious suedes, polished patent leather, sparkling lamé and opulent jacquards! (It also comes in a 100mm heel if you like a higher heel.) As you can see from the photos my neutral pairs are my most worn, and I reach for them in the suedes the most: black, espresso and navy. The suedes are extra extra comfortable, as the buttery material molds to your foot.
Perfect Dress Boot & Bootie
Pointed toe boots are perhaps my #1 recommendation for elevating your fall and winter outfits. When wearing a lot of layers and bundling up, the smaller points of your figure (like ankles!) often are hidden from view. Adding a pointed to boot to your look will elongate your legs, add height and give you a dainty ankle which helps balance cool weather's most voluminous pieces. (The dress bootie has a hidden platform for a little extra lift as well!) Whether you opt for a knee high version or this chic bootie, you'll be amazed at how this boot transforms your outfits this season. Plus, they have a bunch of special comfort features from a wider toe box to extra padding in the sole to make these the most comfortable pointed toe boots on the market. I love the knee high version--it works with skirts of any length from minis to knee length to maxi skirts. The bootie looks incredibly chic under maxi skirts and trousers - the only issue is deciding which color to buy first. (I really want her to make these in espresso suede!)
Perfect Zip Bootie 30mm
This classic ankle bootie has a flattering almond toe and beautiful gold zippers on the inside and outside of the ankle making them so easy to get on and off. (They were a godsend when I was pregnant as you can see above!) Available in four colors in either a 30mm and 70mm heel, they are the perfect match for my favorite pair of relaxed denim due to the close fit around the ankle, which doesn't add visual bulk to your ankle keeping the line of your legs long. The 30mm espresso version are easily my most worn shoe each fall and winter and the pair I keep by the door because I wear them so often.
Perfect Block Heel 60mm
The perfect block sandal is a wardrobe workhorse especially in the warmer months. While it comes in three heel heights (30mm, 60mm, and 90mm) I particularly love the 60mm heel version which I own in maaaaaany colors. (Gold, white, black suede, and two discontinued croc finishes!) This sandal has a comfortable wear-all-day heel which is perfect for all your warm weather events, from backyard BBQs to graduations, date nights to black tie weddings. I promise it will be your go-to especially for outdoor events as the heel is thick enough so you can walk through grass without sinking in. You can stand all day and dance all night in these fabulous heels. If you’re on vacation and trying to pack light, these shoes will go with all of your dressier looks as the photos above demonstrate. I've worn these heels from Harbour Island to Italy to New England! The simple lines complement almost any dress and I've found that the gold is the most versatile color (works year-round) followed closely by the white for summer outfits. The perfect block heel run true to size and are soooooo good you will want one in every color!
If you have wide feet, or feel like your heel-wearing days are behind you, these crossover 50mm heels (worn here) might just be for you! They have thicker straps to hold your toes in and a very comfortable, shorter heel to give you that sandal look with loads of support!
Perfect Sandal 85mm
If you're ever in need of a fabulous, party-ready pair of stilettos the Perfect Sandal 85mm is for you. From date night to cocktail parties to gala events it is a silhouette that just works with so many looks. I have them in gold leather, black suede, and several discontinued colors like silver and a floral suede! It's hard to believe a heel this sexy can be comfortable, but I can wear my Sarah Flint stilettos the longest of any shoe like this! (And yes they even come in a 100mm heel for the thrill seeker!)
Reversible Scarf Belt
A major compliment magnet, this leather scarf belt allows you to weave your favorite silk scarf through the holes to create a chic belt. It's not a part of the Perfects Collection sale but still worth mentioning because it's so good. I love pairing it with this brown and white silk scarf, but you can pair with any 90cm silk scarf to change up the look. Plus it's reversible so you can feature one of two colors, and comes in a camel/ivory combo, or camel/black! This scarf belt is a conversation piece, and I never fail to get questions about it when I'm out and about. I wore mine to my best friend's baby shower last fall and every woman there asked about it - it's the perfect ice breaker to wear to a social function or work event if you need to network. Ha! Sizing is pretty flexible since you can adjust it with the scarf, though I'd say if you're in between sizes opt for the smaller one, since you don't want the leather to overlap in front. These belts are one of her top-selling styles, they've sold out several times in the pastyear so don't wait if you have your eye on one!
