Spring’s Best Dresses on Sale for 2 Days Only!

Stacie Flinner J.Crew Spring Dresses-10.jpg

I just purchased this gorgeous red Liberty print dress last week so when I woke up to an email that J.Crew is offering 40% off of their dresses I knew I needed to share asap! J.Crew’s spring collection includes a variety of timeless day dresses as well as versatile styles that can be dressed up or down. I ordered several dresses, but only had time to photograph one for you so here’s a shortlist of my favorites from J.Crew’s April collection, all 40% off through Monday, April 15th at midnight! (I’ve included fit notes for the dresses I’ve tried on.)

  • This red Liberty dress will be your go-to of the season. The fabric is gorgeous and the fit is reminiscent of one of my favorite dress designers – Emilia Wickstead – but for a tiny fraction of the price!  If you need a dress that does it all this! is! it! It’s so easy to dress up or down – wear it to a picnic with a belt, sandals and jean jacket, or wear it to a wedding with gold stillettos, a chic clutch and statement earrings. It runs a tiny bit big so if you’re between sizes size down.
  • A beach stripe shirtdress is a summer staple, and the pink cabana stripe is just so happy and it has a very slimming effect. (Though seems to run a bit small through the hips so size up!) I’d pair with wedge espadrilles and a little straw bag, or even classic white jack sandals and a tote. I like the self belt that comes with it or you can opt for something more elevated if you want to dress it up.
  • This popover linen striped mini dress reads more of a beach cover up than a dress to me, but I love it and can’t wait to wear it over a swimsuit this summer!  I’d style it with a fringe-y tote, hat and strappy flat sandals. Feels very “I spend my Saturdays sunbathing on a secret beach near Antibes”.
  • I own the shirt version of this button up dress and plan to snag the dress version on sale. Would opt for french blue or one of the darker colors so I can wear to the farmers market with a big straw tote this summer without risking it being too sheer.
  • This breton striped midi dress gets rave reviews and is only $54! The fabric is nice and thick, one reviewer said the stripes match at the seams (this is major) and just like your favorite sailor striped top you can style it countless ways.
  • I’m a sucker for a striped shirtdress and the extra ruffles on this one give it an extra feminine spin. The stripes feel more elevated than the solid white version which feels kind of peasant-y.
  • I’ve been emailing with a camp in Maine about a summer stay, and will definitely be bringing along this dress which is only $75!
  • This solid dress is the same flattering seamed silhouette as the red Liberty one, but in a lightweight linen. Again, gorgeous shape but for this one you’ll need to do a bit of ironing. I’d also recommend the green or black over the white, as the linen is lightweight enough that you can see the lining through the white which cheapens the look. But green and black are so flattering and can be styled in myriad ways!

This dress looks amazing in you! I love the way you styled it. The white accessories… and especially the red lip! I previously passed it by on the J.Crew website b/c it looked rather drab and boring… but wow! It’s beautiful!
