I hope you all had a very Happy Thanksgiving! We spent the holiday with David’s side of the family in Pittsburgh which is always so fun since my father-in-law is one of 7 siblings and it’s always a big turnout. We took these photos on the iconic Roberto Clemente Bridge before heading to dinner, and though it was freezing I wanted to go coat-free to show you this gorgeous dress by new-to-me designer Molly Moorkamp.
I first learned of Molly’s beautiful collection last spring at the Frick Young Supporters Ball when a tall blonde in a stunning light blue floor-length shift (or her own design) caught my eye. Turns out it was Molly herself and her eponymous brand’s Instagram account quickly became one of my favorite follows, where she serves up both beautiful dresses and helpful bits like a recipe for the perfect deviled eggs and “Molly Martini” – a spotify playlist perfect for dinner parties or cozy nights in.
When I saw this dress I knew it was time to take the plunge and buy my first MM piece, since parrot tulips are one of my favorite flowers and the navy, red, and green color palette feel “holiday” without being overly thematic. Aside from the beautiful fabric, the seamed bodice is oh-so flattering and I love the ballon sleeve as well. There are so many beautiful pieces in her collection and she’s offering a rare discount of 25% off everything this weekend with code “Holiday”.
I love how the dress looks cinched at the waist with a belt and added another pair of Sarah Flint perfect pumps to my collection in navy suede to match. Sarah Flint gifted me my first pair for a collaboration last spring and since then I’ve purchased them in two other colors – they’re really that good! (See my top Sarah Flint picks in this blog post here, and through Monday, Dec 1st take $50 off every pair you buy (up to $200 off if you buy 4 pairs.)
David’s grandfather is about to play a few songs on the saxophone, so that’s all for now. Happy Friday friends! xx, SF
