Vacation brights
I’m always a bit more adventuresome with my style while on vacation. Perhaps it’s being in a new place that inspires a little experimentation or the vibrant colors of my destination have me reaching for brighter hues. For Harbour Island I packed lots of colorful clothing (as seen here!) to echo the colorful houses and sparkling blue waters of the island.
Take this breezy orange caftan I'm wearing from ASHA: it's a perfect example of how one piece can make a statement while still feeling true to my personal style. With its playful white embroidery (so special!) and relaxed fit, it's an effortless dress that promises to keep you cool as you bask in the sun. When wearing brighter colors, I like to keep my accessories classic and neutral, like these taupe Saint Laurent slides and this pretty straw tote. (You can always find the bags and shoes I'm eyeing here and here!)
Below I’ve rounded up a range of vacation pieces that blend vibrant style with ease, so whether you're lounging poolside or exploring a seaside market, you’ll look effortlessly put together.
- My orange ASHA caftan comes in green and blue too, or ASHA makes other designs like this dress in lavender or this yellow number! (I'm 5'9" an wearing an XS but it's a bit snug in the bust - could have sized up for a bit more room.)
- I ordered this fuschia bikini and this green one piece for the Bahamas but they didn't arrive in time but love their happy hues!
- This cheery yellow dress is easy to dress up or down depending on your footwear. Just add flats or day or heels by night!
- Every vacation suitcase needs at least one linen dress in it that can act as a coverup or be dressed up for dinner. Something simple and airy that you can accessorize to fit any occasion. I love this popover, this button front (top version here), and this maxi dress if you want a bit more coverage - and all are under $150!
- A always find that tunics offer effortless elegance on vacation. Wear this pink midi version with delicate wrap around sandals.
- This pretty aqua shirtdress has such a fun print!
- Wearing a scarf as a top just screams "Out Of Office" to me, and this gorgeous coral and aqua scarf looks great paired with high waisted white pants. (Get 20% off with "Stacie20"!)
- This blue knit dress is a timeless shape with a modern weave.
- Metallic shoes will go with every dress in your suitcase and I love the old hollywood glamour of this pair (featuring super walkable wedge heels).
- This vibrant blue silk dress is a more everyday silhouette made with the same gorgeous fabric as this caftan I wore on the Amalfi Coast last summer.
- This teal maxi dress is just stunning (I have in another pattern and it runs a bit small so size up)!
- A perfect crochet beach coverup that will take you from dipping your toes in the sand to an al fresco lunch.
- Show off your shoulders (and legs!) in this flirty pale green number.
- This dress has me dreaming of a romantic waterfront dinner date.
- Shift dresses are great for hiding a tummy after a big lunch, and this yellow shift has such a fun hem detail plus it looks great with a tan.
- For a special evening out, pair this blue lace mini with metallic stilettos.
