Wishing for: Statement Skirts & Cashmere

With a calendar full of festive get togethers I'm pulling out all the sparkles, jacquards, satins and sequins. The holidays are made for maximalists and I am not one to hold back. This holiday season Talbots is my secret source for chic holiday looks and super soft cashmere to keep me effortlessly elegant throughout this busy month. I'm sharing my holiday wishlist from their fabulous December collection, perfect for neighborhood holiday parties to New Year's Eve extravaganzas and everything in between.

Statement Skirts - Wow just WOW! There are so many beautiful midi skirts on offer this December, from this emerald and gold jacquard number to this hot pink satin wrap skirt! (Which reminds me of Marilyn Monroe's stunning pink gown in Gentlemen Prefer Blondes in the best way possible. See how I styled it below!) The genius of a statement skirt is all you need is a simple turtleneck and some fab earrings and you're ready to go. Other favorite skirts included this black embellished midi skirt and this cream tuxedo-inspired skirt. (The green jacquard skirt runs big so you'll likely want to size down, but the pink skirt is true to size and slightly adjustable due to the wrap style!)

Cozy Cashmere - Talbots' cashmere is so incredibly soft and well made and an amazing price point. I have this slim fit turtleneck in almost every color and wear it with everything from cocktail attire to a base layer on the ski slopes. (Really!) This year they even have a super special silver cashmere version which is insanely soft and not even a tiny bit scratchy despite the metallic threads. My gold turtleneck isn't cashmere, but is also soft and such a fun, festive piece to add to your party rotation!

Sparkling Accessories - From gorgeous clutches to shoes with a special touch there are so many beautiful options to complete your party looks this season. I love a matching moment and this jacquard clutch looks like it should cost 4x more than it does. The Evelyn heels are another holiday must-have, and come in a fabulous green velvet or versatile black suede, each with a delicate rhinestone buckle at the ankle. Top off any look with a pair of sparkling pearl earrings and you're ready to party!
