Your Favorites (and Mine!) from October

October was a month of beautiful fall layers, cozy textures, and timeless pieces that make getting dressed (and staying in!) feel extra special. I always love looking back at what resonated most with you, and this month's reader favorites are especially good, from the cashmere lounge set you couldn't get enough of to flattering sweater dresses, classic jackets, and little luxuries for home. I'm also sharing a few things that have captured my heart lately, including some special finds from my trip to New York, beautiful everyday jewelry, and a few pieces I know I'll treasure for years. Consider this a little recap of the best of October, both yours and mine!

Okay, this cable-knit cashmere lounge set ($50 off with STACIE50) is the most flattering set I own (in two colors) and has been the #1 reader favorite by a mile this month!
Sweater dresses are my fall uniform: the speckled oatmeal merino midi is so comfortable and reminds me of The Row, and my cream ribbed knit midi (runs true to size) is so pretty with a statement necklace. Both are as comfortable as pajamas but look put-together, with tall suede boots or pumps for dinner. Both are under $300!
Two ME+EM jackets for polished layering: this blue cropped jacket, made with Linton Tweeds, sits right at the waistband of midi skirts and high-waisted jeans. (I got my smaller UK size, a US 2/UK 6.) The ochre cotton velvet blazer with patch pockets feels special enough for holiday dinners, but I love it dressed down with jeans and a striped knit. Splurges, but they feel festive now and you can wear them well after the holidays are over.
Comfortable enough to walk in all day, I have these ballet flats in 3 colors and they ground everything from cords to dresses. (Snag the leopard if they still have your size!)
This slim denim shirt has been my fall workhorse, tucked into a suede skirt (as seen above!) or layered under sweaters. Buy one if you haven't already and you'll be amazed at how often you wear it! (I like to size up.)
This black dress is the definition of timeless. Wear it to everything from holiday parties to the opera to NYE celebrations.
This beautiful cable-knit throw blanket is 100% organic cotton and comes in the most beautiful colors. Throw one over a chair or the foot of your bed to add warmth and texture. (I have the olive, and the holly would be so good for a festive touch.)
Rosewood cords are the PERFECT fit, with just enough stretch for busy weekdays and weekends. Extremely flattering, I should really buy a second color.
Every closet needs a Barbour, and I can't choose between the olive wax jacket I've worn for years and my new one in navy with tartan-lined cuffs and a cord collar. Both only look better with age. Throw one over a Fair Isle sweater and jeans for dog walks, or over a midi dress and boots on rainy days. (I like to size up!)
Cashmere-silk scarves are my weakness, and this navy bandana scarf looks so much more expensive than it is. You also went nuts over this beautiful autumnal floral scarf.
For parties and date nights, this black wool off-the-shoulder dress is a timeless piece you'll keep for years. (I got this belt on sale, and it would look so good together!)

Oh my goodness, I got this ultra-luxurious classic leather journal in oyster blue and it brings me SO much joy. The perfect extra special gift, especially when monogrammed.
My quilted Barbour with its corduroy collar is on repeat for crisp fall weekends. (Especially nice over this Fair Isle turtleneck.)
If you want one statement piece for fall, a suede skirt adds such a wow factor and moves beautifully. (I'm wearing a sold-out color above.)
Emily Wheeler launched her new jewelry collection called Sphere a few days ago, and I love all of the designs, but think these modern pearl studs are an especially fabulous splurge.
