Autumn always has a way of wrapping us in its golden embrace. From cozy caramel knits and buttery leather boots to radiant gold jewelry that catches the last of the afternoon sun, I've rounded up the pieces that make the season shine.
- I bought my marigold leather skirt several years ago but the brand brings out a new color each year. It's certainly a splurge, but I did find a classic brown leather version on sale here! (Extra discount with code "HITHERE".)
- Come fall and winter I'm all about knitwear, whether it's the perfect cashmere turtleneck (under $200), a sequined statement sweater, or a chunky cable knit crewneck that looks like it costs double it's actual price tag.
- This time of year I find I gravitate towards chunkier jewelry. More substantial pieces have the presence to hold their own alongside the season's knits, tweeds, leathers, and suede. I got this "C" initial charm necklace in honor of my son over the summer, and am loving how it looks layered over slim turtleneck sweaters, or peeking out of the collar of a shirt/blazer.
- Similarly, gold pendant necklaces are a great way to add interest to solid colored knits, and I just bought this tassel necklace to brighten sweater dresses and turtlenecks. (Ben Amun is a personal favorite for statement costume jewelry!)
- This warm caramel suede bag has been my go-to so far this fall. (Seen here and here.) It's beautifully made, holds a ton, and is cut to lie close to your body. It's a chic option to throw over your shoulder and head out the door. I also have this bigger tote style and it's beautiful too, though I use the smaller one more.
- I love this dramatic wool cape, which is perfect for throwing over layered outfits when your arms don't fit in your normal coat sleeves. (And the prettiest color!)
- These delicate sepia-toned floral slingbacks pair beautifully with cream trousers and a big cashmere sweater.
- Tassel belts were all over New York Fashion Week and I have been debating between this camel colored leather version and this silky black one. They are just the thing to add interest to a lux sweater dress. (Or pair with this one which is a steal!)
- Make almost any floral arrangement instantly autumnal with this stunning marbled vase. I just ordered one and can't wait to fill it.
- Wooly pieces are fall's signature fabric, especially in warm camel hues. I love the rustic elegance of this fair isle sweater, and it would be perfect layered under this car coat or this cropped jacket.
- Fall layers look especially lovely in monochromatic hues, and with so many beautiful shades of cognac, amber, ochre and brown, you can really mix and match for a variety of autumnal looks. This silky maxi skirt is a knockout, and I love pairing these skirts with a cashmere sweater like this for dressier events when you still want to stay warm. (For example!)
- I love citrine and recently discovered Jane Pope Jewelry, which creates stunning XL cocktail rings with a variety of gorgeous gemstones. I love the organic shape of the setting and that the golden citrine stone feels like a neutral, pairing effortlessly with autumn's golden outfits. (They also make gorgeous cushion cut studs!)
- The sculptural hardware on this wool top is beautiful. Would look perfect tucked into trousers with these gold heels.
- Golden hues are best showcased in sumptuous jacquards and paisley prints like this and this.
- Corduroy lends itself well to saturated hues, and these pants are one of my favorite silhouettes at J.Crew. Pair the warm cedar color with a cream aran sweater, or pop on a white shirt, this sweater vest and loafers for a collegiate look! (I own and love those loafers!)
- Warm up any outfit with a cognac leather bag, whether you opt for a little suede clutch or this investment piece.
- I love adding an unexpected shoe to a simple dress or trousers to create a dynamic outfit. These camel block-heeled pumps add instant cool due to the sculptural ring on the toe.
