Gifts The Recipient Will Use Every Day

I'm making my lists and checking them twice as I try to knock out gifts for the whole family this week. Finding the perfect gift for someone is such a good feeling, and even more so when you know it's something that will bring a smile to their face and make their day to day a little brighter. I've rounded up some of our favorite items we use (almost) every day, many of which have been presents from holidays past that would surprise and delight everyone on your list.

  • Gorgeous loungewear - We've been staying with family the last few days and I've been reaching for this chic cotton cashmere knit set (30% off!) for lounging at home. I really love the oxblood color, which feels very elevated and festive, but still something you can wear all winter long. Its easy to swap out the bottoms for jeans if you need to run an errand, and feels way more put together than wearing pajamas, though they're equally as comfy! Any woman who finds this set under the tree will reach for it on a daily basis - I guarantee it! (Full blog post here!)
  • A beautiful piece of jewelry - There's nothing like putting on a piece of jewelry given to you by a loved one that sparks joy as you get dressed each morning. I've worn my Dorsey tennis bracelet almost every day this fall, and it adds the perfect touch of sparkle to any outfit from a tee shirt and jeans to a cocktail dress. I love the James bezel setting as each stone is encircled in gold, meaning it doesn't snag your sweaters. (Find my full blog post about my bracelet here.) If you're looking for something really unique, these petite crawford earrings look like a vintage find, and are just the thing for dressing up a turtleneck this winter! Or if the recipient has been verrrrrrrrrrrry good this year, Dorsey just came out with this delicate diamond and gold tennis bracelet (!!!!!!)
  • Fabulous beauty - I use a simple bar soap to double wash my face, but the two products that make all the difference in my skin (and health, because they're nontoxic!) is this moisturizer (25% off!) and this face polish (35% off!) which I use 3-4 times a week. (I love the way my skin feels after using the polish!) A little goes a long way for both products and I'm stocking up for the year during their Black Friday sales. Either would make a great stocking stuffer or gift both together. (They're both pregnancy and breastfeeding safe if you want to pamper the new mom in your life!)
  • The best boots - Two pairs that get me through winter are these chic suede booties (30% off now!) and these shearling lined bean boots. The shearling boots are a game changer during winter and David and I each have a pair. (Men's version here.) While you're at it, pair with other delicious chocolate-y pieces like this cashmere turtleneck, this suede tote (carries a laptop but isn't too big!) or this leather jacket!
  • A chic apron - Feminists may bristle at the idea, but a cute apron will absolutely save your clothes from costly kitchen mishaps. Once you start using one for meal prep you'll never go back. The perfect gift for the baker in your family!
  • Super soft pajamas - My family has had a tradition of opening one present on Christmas Eve and everyone always gets coordinating pajamas. These super soft pima pajamas (25% off!) make up 70% of my pajama collection and I have them in every color of the rainbow, and love wrapping up in their pima robes too. They do shrink a bit, so make sure to size up! (Just got this for our baby boy - so cute!)
  • A really good coffee setup - I gave David this kettle for his birthday earlier this year and it's probably his favorite thing I've ever given him. We had been trying to find a coffee machine that didn't have plastic parts and this gooseneck kettle paired with a glass Chemex is the cleanest, most delicious way to make coffee. (Plus, the kettle is pretty enough for a permantent place on the counter and has been great for making baby bottles too!) I got him the black and walnut Stagg EKG, and the rest of our family got him this grinder and scale. (Combo kit here!) The full system is an investment, but it's currently on sale for 20% off which is their best deal of the year! Pair with a bag of yummy organic coffee (we've been loving this one from Stumptown) for a gift everyone can enjoy on Christmas morning and every day. Such a good gift for the guy in your life - he can nerd out on making the perfect cup of coffee and you'll benefit too! :)
  • A Timex watch - I gave David a Timex watch for his birthday and it's such a great, affordable gift for a guy. (Or girl!) His favorite is the 40mm Weekender Chronograph, and we like the grosgrain straps for a casual, sporty look.
  • Jeans that make you look and feel good - I got these jeans in thunderstorm two months ago and they're my go-to pair right now. Flattering through the hip and thigh, they make your bum look great, are the perfect blue and don't bag out at the knee even though I'm on the floor with our baby a lot. They're currently 30% off for Black Friday and available in almost every size here. You'll reach for them for everything from morning dog walks to date nights, and they make a great gift for your sister, girlfriend or mom! (I also got this cable knit sweater which is included in the sale and love it!)
  • Nice China - I started collecting Royal Copenhagen's iconic blue fluted china pattern for my wedding, and I love it so much we use it as our everyday china. The pattern is over 225 years old and still feels totally fresh today. I have a mix of the princess dinner plates, blue fluted salad plates, and specialty pieces like this butter dish and this platter. Whatever pattern your recipient collects, adding another place setting, or special serving piece will help them build a collection that will be the center of many happy memories around their dinner table for years to come!
