We woke up to 60 degree weather and a single falling leaf and suddenly I am obsessed with getting ready for autumn. David and I can't wait to head up to the White Mountains for leaf peeping, and we're working hard on renovating the front of our house in preparation for a big display of mums and pumpkins next month. Of course, shopping for fall apparel is a big part of the fun and J.Crew's newest collection is full of timeless wardrobe staples - and currently on sale for 40% off! I've scoured their pages to find my favorites from the sale, all at incredible prices (nothing is over $250!) and just put in a big order myself so I'll be styling many of these pieces over the next few weeks.

I was obsessed with this blazer in a different fabric last year (seen styled two ways here) and love the super versatile plaid, plus preppy pop of navy under the collar in this year's version. I expect it won't go on sale again for a long time so snap it up now while it's only $208!
I love this cozy quilted barn jacket (only $148!) to wear over an all white look now (think these white slim boyfriend jeans (size down) and a cream sweater) then layer with chunky knits later. Plus it looks like the contrast collar is removable! I just bought the chocolate.
This blue and white shirtdress arrived last week and it is stunning - the pleats at the waist and slight dolman sleeve make it look designer, but on sale it's only $106!
This chocolate suede tote (also available in black) is perfection and looks way more expensive than the $150 price point. A timeless classic that is the definition of quiet luxury this tote is equally handsome for a commute to the office or Saturday errands. (And would great with the brown quilted jacket above.)
Everyone needs a classic trench coat for fall so if you’re on the hunt check out this knee length one in green or black.
The oversized proportions of this cashmere wrap/scarf are so luxurious. Snap one up to use as a lux scarf over your tweed blazer, or as a wrap over your dress for dinners out. (Only $120 right now!)
I get so much wear out of suede booties each fall and love the tapered toe and close fit of the ankle on this pair. They'll look great under relaxed denim and elongate your legs. I love the toffee color best! which would look great with this hazelnut turtleneck tucked into high waisted jeans.
I love a crisp shirt for fall especially if there's a little special detail added like this white top with a scalloped collar (looks great with just jeans as you can see here) or this ruffle edge button down that provides just a peak of ruffle when paired with sweaters or this blazer. (I have one and like how the ruffle looks best when it's unironed - score!)
Navy and white breton sweaters are an easy way to transition from summer to fall, and I love this sexy henley version in silk and cashmere for $106.
Lots of classic wardrobe staples are a part of J.Crew’s sale, so now’s the time to make sure you have essentials like a chambray shirt, blue striped button down (size up for the best fit) and a classic striped boatneck.
The green barn jacket I'm wearing in this post is only $118 right now and such a fabulous, affordable version of the iconic Barbour Beadnell jacket, but in a lighter olive that is perfect for early fall days and acts as a neutral in your wardrobe.
Wearing cute pajamas has always been important to me for feeling put together in the evenings/mornings and I just re-bought this light blue nightgown version in a size up to wear for the next few months of pregnancy. (Monogram it for a cute gift idea!)
