If anyone told me at the end of last year what 2020 would hold for all of us I would have never believed it. Yet as wild as our times seem, I’ve also marveled at how quickly we adapt to our new normal, and few have pivoted as quickly to keep us feeling chic in these ever changing times than Marta Scarampi.
I first featured Torino-based slow-fashion brand Marta Scarampi in March right as Italy was put into lockdown. At that time, they specialized in gorgeous, sustainable, made-to-order capes. As lockdown eased in their country and the seamstresses were able to return to their sewing machines, founding sisters Marta and Lucia examined how they spent their time during quarantine and what their customers would need in this new era, which birthed this ingenious Deco Travel Jumpsuit Collection for when you need to fly during a pandemic as well as a Cotton Collection of breezy outfits that come with matching face masks.
