The Best Paisley Pieces for Fall

Few prints feel as perfectly suited to autumn as paisley. With its rich colors, intricate patterns, and slightly bohemian heritage, it adds so much depth to a fall wardrobe, whether it’s rendered in silk, velvet, cashmere, or quilted cotton. Of course, Etro is the undisputed king of paisley, and many of their pieces are true works of art, but you certainly don’t have to spend thousands to get the look. I found beautiful options at every price point, from statement dresses and sweeping maxi skirts to scarves and easy separates.

• My outfit above might be my favorite combo for a fall dinner out. Pairing the coziness of a cable-knit turtleneck (This would also be fab!) with the cascading ruffles on this silk midi skirt which has beautiful movement. I layered in my favorite suede pieces: this plum suede bag and these beautiful brown suede stiletto boots for a look that's elevated yet cozy.
• I'd forgive you for thinking this paisley suit was Etro. It's currently 25% off. I'd wear the trousers with a big navy cashmere sweater and these black booties, and I know my mom would go for the blazer over an all-black look.
• This cashmere-silk bandana scarf is the easiest way to wear paisley. Loop it around your neck with a blazer or drape it over your shoulders at dinner.
• A paisley blouse adds bohemian flair to dark-wash denim and flats. (I just got these flats and love that they're made of waterproof Italian suede — the perfect thing to look cute in iffy weather!)
• This long-sleeved midi dress is a four-season staple that can be dressed up with stilettos or down with flats.

• This navy cotton mini dress would look fabulous with navy suede ballet flats or brown knee-high boots.
• This wrap sweater is the whole outfit when paired with a simple tee and jeans. I think it looks even better than this $4,000 version.
• This wool-cotton bandana maxi skirt has the most gorgeous graphic paisley in rich navy and camel tones. Perfect with a fitted turtleneck layered under a denim button-up and boots for autumn dinners or a weekend getaway.
