Before trying these shoes I thought platforms just weren’t for me. I’m 5’9″ and in most heels I’m 6′ and always thought platforms just felt so clunky in contrast to their stiletto equivalent, but leave it to Sarah Flint to create the most elegant platform of all time. I’ve been a fan of the original Mirjana ever since I had a pair of Mirjana flats made before my own eyes in Italy last summer (see the process here), and the Mirjana wedge is even more comfortable than the original slide. Consider me a convert!
From elegant dinners to backyard barbecues where you’re standing on grass this shoe does it all. If you have a trip coming up this wedge is an ideal travel companion since it looks equally chic with a midi dress for dinner as it does with a swimsuit and pareo by the pool – a travel must-have in my book!
The Mirjana wedge comes in two heel heights – 60mm and 80mm – and a range of colors from gold to blue. I personally love the 80mm as the ankle strap keeps your foot secure and the leather bow on the toe is so flattering and comfortable. The woven fabric on the platform isn’t just a simple rope pattern, each color has their own special coordinating fabric whether you’re looking for a shoe that is classic, feminine or glam!
Disclosure: As a longstanding fan of the brand I recently invested in Sarah Flint. Having seen how they operate inside and out I couldn’t be more excited to support them in this new way, and you can rest assured my recommendations will continue to reflect my genuine opinion as they have for the last 4 years.
