Everything I wore For a Fall Trip to England
We are back from our week in the Cotswolds and I have to say, autumn is my favorite time to visit England. We arrived right after a heatwave and many mornings started with a beautiful autumnal mist and pubs were lighting their first fire of the season. Bliss! I packed colors that blend with the country landscape and brought a lot of creams, browns, greens and burgundy for the trip. Contrary to conventional wisdom, I pack fewer base layers (mostly wore this turtleneck) and more blazers/jackets/coats for autumn/winter trips, especially when I know we'll be spending a lot of time outside on walks or wandering small towns and wearing jackets most of the day. Otherwise I finally bought maternity jeans and even though I packed three pairs I found I was always reaching for this pair. I also brought several sweater dresses which were perfect for feeling pulled together yet comfortable - pregnant or not!
I was convinced the J.Crew Lady Jacket in this post wouldn't go on sale for months, and well...J.Crew just dropped the price. WHAT?! If you were on the fence now is the time to scoop up this gorgeous wardrobe staple for 30% off. (Runs true to size.)
You can now find everything I packed for our week in the English countryside here!
