As the seasons shift, it’s always fun to see what pieces resonated most with all of you. September’s bestsellers were a mix of everyday essentials and little luxuries—everything from a gift-worthy diamond necklace that adds instant sparkle, to versatile dresses perfect for both work and play, to the coziest fall flannel and a pair of must-have black pants that go with everything. These are the items that stood out this month:
- Paisley Wrap Dress - Unsurprisingly, this beautiful silk wrap dress (on sale!) is far and away the most popular piece I've shared on the blog this month. From the beautiful colors in the print, to it's super chic silhouette, it's a gorgeous one-and-done piece that makes getting dressed a pleasure. This sale is on for a few more days and I've found so many amazing pieces!
- Refined Jeans - These jeans are so flattering I dedicated a whole blog post to singing their praises. They are still on sale through midnight tonight (9/28!) so buy them now and thank me later. They look great with a t-shirt, button-up shirt, sweater, lady jacket... you name it!
- This Diamond Necklace - This diamond necklace has been quietly featured in a few recent daily looks from glam evening outfits to casual styles but it has caught the attention of many of you. I love the sweet pairing of pear and emerald-cut diamonds that invites a closer look and adds a hint of sparkle to any outfit. (Plus, it's on sale right now!)
- A Cozy Wool Dress - I was surprised to see this sweater dress in September's bestsellers as I only mentioned it once in a roundup, but you can see it's instant appeal. The gorgeous creamy fabric and smart stitching at the collar make it something special. It's the answer to "What do I wear?" when the temperatures start to dip.
- A Burgundy Floral Dress - I suspect many of you are scooping up this gorgeous berry-hued dress for holiday card pictures, then wearing it to showers, date nights and more throughout the season. The almost-empire waistline feels modern and is universally flattering. Pair with burgundy, cream or brown accessories for a variety of autumnal events!
- This Wool Car Coat - This little car coat is going to be my go-to when the temperatures drop below 60 degrees. The boucle fabric is gorgeous and the cut is simple-yet-flattering, just the piece to pop on over denim for a casual day of errands, but it's also polished enough to pair with trousers for work. I'm happy to see J.Crew going back to their early 2000 emphasis on sourcing beautiful wool from Italian mills. You can really tell the difference, especially in their coats!
- A Really Good Flannel Shirt - After a summer romanticizing our 90's childhoods, seems we are ready to do the same with autumn, as this flannel shirt (under $60) is one of the bestselling pieces I've featured this month. (And with over 2,000 glowing reviews you know it's good.) Pair with the jeans and coat I mention above for an autumnal look perfect for a day of leaf peeping!
- Ultra-flattering black pants - I only recently shared these amazing black pants but you guys went nuts, probably because they're on sale (which never happens!) From the tailored, kick flare silhouette, to the super stretchy fabric (that doesn't look like stretch fabric) these pants are a fabulous wardrobe staple for work and play. I love how they look with pumps (seen here), or a blouse and flats like Sarah styled them here! I recommend sizing up for the perfect fit.
- A Subtly Sexy Henley - This silk-cotton henley has been this month's sleeper hit. I'm wearing it in the photo above and it's such a flattering, slightly elevated alternative to a tee. I bought it in ivory and olive and hope they bring out more colors. It's so good for wearing on it's own or layering under a blazer, and has become a staple in my mom wardrobe while running after a busy toddler.
- A Tiered Silk Skirt - This gorgeous silk-cotton skirt has a fun tiered design with an eye-catching flutter as you walk. Currently 60% off, it's a gorgeous foundation for so many winter looks and the warm ivory hue pairs beautifully with the season's burgundy, olive, chocolate, camel and navy hues. Just add your favorite sweater, a belt and boots - you can't go wrong! (See how I wore it here.)
That's a wrap! Would love to hear if there's something else you recently bought and loved from my recommendations in the comments below! xx
