Spring Getaway Outfit Inspiration

Everything I Wore in Harbour Island

I'm sure I'm not alone in thinking vacation dressing is just! so! fun! I find that when I'm in a new place it's easier to try something new - be it a bright new color, a chic silhouette or a funky new sandal. It's such a blast to experiment while on holiday and below you'll find everything I wore during our week in the Bahamas. Since spring break is coming up I thought it would be helpful to capture all of my vacation looks in one place as inspiration for your own upcoming travels. (And if you're headed on a ski vacation you can find everything I packed for a week in the Alps here!)

And you can find my full packing list of everything I brought to the Bahamas here!

Lunch

Lunch on the island is almost always al fresco and often is on the way to or from the pool or beach. Most of my mid-day attire could pull double duty as an everyday outfit or as a coverup - as you can tell from the number of outfits with bikini straps peeking out at the neck! From the perfect white tank top (truly perfect!), to a happy yellow caftan , to a gorgeous super-wearable statement cardigan (20% off with "Stacie20") that can be worn as your top or thrown over your shoulders, there's something for everyone in this list.

Dinner

I love that visitors to Harbour Island really like to get dressed for dinner, whether you're sitting on the terrace at The Landing, or grabbing a cocktail at The Dunmore. The dress code is all about breezy pieces with special details that are effortless, yet elevated. Pair your look with chic accessories in wicker or shell motifs, and since everyone drives to dinner in a golf cart, you can totally opt for heels or wedges if you wish!

Swim

It goes without saying that lots of swim ensembles are essential for a beach getaway, and I ordered a bunch of new styles to try out before the trip. Well!!! My absolute favorites for swimming were a bikini (no awkward tan lines from this top!) and this one piece from J.Crew's new "scrunchie" collection, as the thick material is perfectly stretchy and thick enough to keep everything under wraps. I also wore my two white bikinis a ton (J.Crew and Helen Jon), even if I wasn't planning on getting in the water since they go with everything, and I love the look of bikini straps tied at the neck under a top. Relaxed linen pants were a favorite on this trip, and honestly I'd recommend getting both of the ones I brought: these basic white linen pants and these gorgeous navy embroidered pants. (Which are 20% off with code "Stacie20" through tomorrow 2/28!) Other beach ready pieces include this rope tote that holds a ton but doesn't fill with sand, the perfect straw hat and a happy pareo!
