Full Newport blog post coming tomorrow, but just wanted to share a quick outfit post because this sweater is so good. (As is the coffee shop where these photos were taken!)
I’m normally big on sales (as you may have guessed from recent posts like this and this) but this sweater is so good it’s worth paying full price. (Find in heathered taupe here and ivory here.) It combines a few of my favorite things (turtleneck, cable knit and heathered yarn) with a relaxed fit that looks great on it’s own or layered over a collared shirt – the neckline is just the right height to let the collar pop out. This is my ideal Saturday morning look, and while it’s too cold in NYC this morning for bare ankles it was perfect for a sunny winter day in Newport!
These photos were taken at Coffee Grinder at the end of Bannister’s Wharf. A tiny sliver of a coffee shop with only a handful of tables and a long counter brimming with baked goods. You’re sure to get a warm welcome from the owner, Elise, and grab a piece of banana bread to enjoy on the Adirondack chairs overlooking the pier!

Love this look! Just found your blog recently and I’m so glad I did. Your style is beautiful. Just pinned that gorgeous sweater. I’m wondering if you wouldn’t mind letting me know what colorway the Natalie flats are…they look a bit darker than the red ones currently on the site.

Hi Jessi, Thanks for the compliment! My Natalie flats are in merlot suede, which unfortunately have just sold out. The brighter red leather is beautiful, and it’s worth keeping an eye on her site because Sarah is constantly coming out with new colors in this style. xx Stacie
Thank you for the response! That merlot suede is gorgeous… thanks for introducing me to her brand…I’ll keep my eyes open!
